Matt Banks from Transamerica has been incredibly responsive—anytime we had a question or issue, he was there to resolve it immediately.The benefits of this transition go beyond just efficiency. The new system is seamless for our employees, giving them easy access to adjust their contributions without needing to reach out to me. In the past, we felt like just a number with Principal. Now, we have a dedicated team supporting us every step of the way. The time savings alone have been substantial—on average, we’re saving about 10 hours per month, and that number could double when dealing with audits or other compliance matters. More than that, the peace of mind knowing that we have a strong, reliable team managing our plan is priceless. The DiMatteo Group has worked diligently with us throughout the whole process of transferring our 401(k), making it a much lighter lift on our side of things. We signed the DiMatteo Group on as the advisors on our prior plan, which allowed them to work with our former recordkeeper to facilitate a much smoother transition into the PIA’s 401(k) program. They worked with us throughout the whole onboarding process, making sure our team was informed on all the changes being made.

Joining the PIA’s 401(k) program has also allowed us to shift a majority of responsibilities that previously fell on our plate to some of the program’s service providers. This lets us spend less time worrying about running the 401(k), allowing us to focus more on the day-to-day of the business.

When I started EG Home, I set up a SIMPLE IRA so I could offer employees a required benefit, at first it worked well. I administered the program and made the monthly contributions; I only had a few people on my team, so I was able to advise them and help them plan their financial future. As we grew my ability to manage the now “not so SIMPLE IRA” decreased and my ability to give my team personal attention on their finances and wealth strategy ceased.

The transfer of our 401K Plan to Tag/Transamerica couldn’t have come at a better time for us and I am very happy with the results The DiMatteo Group has helped achieve for my company. Market Alternatives, LLC was in search of a firm to assist with starting a 401K Plan for our employees.
